Less than a day after its launch, Musk confirmed that this new political formation <strong>would accept Bitcoin<\/strong>, describing the US dollar as &#8220;hopeless.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">JUST IN: Elon Musk said his new political party will embrace <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> \ud83d\ude4c<br><br>\u201cFiat is hopeless\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LGpFEugTvs\">pic.twitter.com\/LGpFEugTvs<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Bitcoin Magazine (@BitcoinMagazine) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitcoinMagazine\/status\/1942054899643998290?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 7, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision comes after President Trump signed the &#8220;Big Beautiful Bill,&#8221; legislation increasing government spending and the <strong>debt ceiling by $5 trillion<\/strong>. Musk believes this <strong>irresponsible<\/strong> spending will result in higher <strong>inflation<\/strong> for American citizens and increased interest payments on debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Fiat is hopeless, which is why the America Party will accept Bitcoin,&#8221; Musk stated on platform X.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk, who is one of the largest institutional Bitcoin holders with <strong>11,509 <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a><\/strong> held by Tesla, launched his party after a poll where <strong>65.4%<\/strong> of <strong>1.2 million respondents<\/strong> voted in favor of creating a new political party. The serial entrepreneur openly criticizes US government spending, asserting that a new party is necessary to <strong>combat waste and corruption.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"strong-reactions-from-trump-and-the-us-treasury\">Strong Reactions from Trump and the US Treasury<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, President Trump described Musk as &#8220;completely out of control&#8221; and emphasized that third parties have never succeeded in the United States. The US Treasury Secretary also advised Musk to focus on his businesses rather than politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These developments have nevertheless had a positive impact on the Bitcoin market.
