Following Bitcoin&#8217;s momentum closely, SOL surpassed the <strong>$200<\/strong> mark to reach a local peak of <strong>$206.19<\/strong> on July 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This spectacular rise has translated into intensified activity on the Solana network. The total value locked (<strong>TVL<\/strong>) in DeFi protocols jumped by <strong>14%<\/strong> to reach <strong>$9.85 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trading volumes on the network&#8217;s DEXs climbed by <strong>30%<\/strong> last month, exceeding <strong>$82 billion<\/strong>. This flurry of activity also generated an increase in network revenue, which grew by <strong>13%<\/strong> compared to June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, as August approaches, signs of cooling are emerging. The price of <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/solana\/\">SOL<\/a> has fallen to around <strong>$170<\/strong>, while user activity on the network appears to be slowing down. The number of daily active addresses has decreased by <strong>16%<\/strong> over the past 7 days, reflecting a slowdown in user engagement and decentralized application usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-golden-cross-on-the-horizon-for-sol\">A Golden Cross on the Horizon for SOL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This drop in SOL price has pushed the coin dangerously below its 20-day exponential moving average (EMA), which forms an important dynamic <strong>support<\/strong> at <strong>$178.25<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-266.jpeg\" alt=\"solana price chart in 4H\" class=\"wp-image-13618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-266.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-266-300x204.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-266-768x524.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, SOL fell rapidly to <strong>$170<\/strong> just before the FOMC speech. However, as mentioned in our previous article, this is potentially extremely bullish for SOL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, SOL broke below its upward trendline only to quickly reclaim it. She is also enthusiastic about SOL&#8217;s future and forecasts <strong>another upward move<\/strong> to come, believing that the worst is behind for Solana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOL will soon need to break the trendline resistance at approximately <strong>$188<\/strong> and, more importantly, maintain itself above <strong>$175<\/strong> on the daily chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a spectacular July, Solana&#8217;s momentum seems ready to pick up again.
