This is very positive news for the company, which had to deal with aggressive legal proceedings from the regulator last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The SEC\u2019s investigation into <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pFc4Pz9nFR\">https:\/\/t.co\/pFc4Pz9nFR<\/a> has been closed with no action being taken against <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pFc4Pz9nFR\">https:\/\/t.co\/pFc4Pz9nFR<\/a>.<\/p>&mdash; Kris | Crypto.com (@kris) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kris\/status\/1905401337631936684?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 27, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/trump-media-partners-crypto-com-launch-crypto-etfs\/\">Crypto.com<\/a>, <strong>Kris Marszalek<\/strong>, confirmed that the SEC&#8217;s investigation has now been closed <em>&#8220;without any actions taken against Crypto.com&#8221;.<\/em> He added that this outcome was <em>&#8220;proof that not only did we persevere, but we have become stronger, a testament to our vision and the support of our community. Onward! #FFTB.\u201d Says Kris from <strong>Crypto.com<\/strong> (@kris).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-shift-at-the-sec-a-win-for-cryptos\"><strong>A Shift at the SEC, a Win for Cryptos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, under the leadership of <strong>Gary Gensler<\/strong>, the <strong>SEC <\/strong>issued a Wells Notice to <strong>Crypto.com<\/strong>, indicating that the agency might pursue <strong>legal action <\/strong>regarding the <strong>sale of its tokens<\/strong>. Following this notice, the <strong>exchange<\/strong> filed a complaint against the <strong>SEC<\/strong>, arguing that the agency was <strong>overreaching <\/strong>by categorizing most cryptocurrency transactions as securities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Crypto.com<\/strong> eventually withdrew its complaint against the SEC in December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nick Lundgren<\/strong>, the legal counsel of Crypto.com, expressed being &#8220;pleased&#8221; with the current direction of the SEC under the Trump administration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Under the previous administration, the SEC used and sought to expand its congressionally granted authority to harm an industry that its former chairman didn&#8217;t appreciate.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that it was &#8220;regrettable&#8221; that Crypto.com had to undergo a multi-year investigation and file &#8220;<em>its own complaint against the SEC to protect the rule of law.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Compliance and integrity are at the heart of Crypto.com\u2019s business, and we look forward to working with the incoming Chairman Atkins and the rest of the Commission on our long-standing desire to legislate and establish regulations,&#8221; Lundgren concluded.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>SEC <\/strong>pursued <strong>several legal actions against crypto<\/strong> <strong>companies <\/strong>last year under Gary Gensler&#8217;s leadership. However, most of these lawsuits have been dropped in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEC&#8217;s Acting Chairman, <strong>Mark T.
