With a market capitalization of <strong>$2.19 trillion<\/strong> and nearly 19.9 million BTC in circulation, the largest cryptocurrency remains the undisputed market leader. However, the short-term outlook is far from rosy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the technical front, <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/bitcoin\/halving-date\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> remains <strong>trapped<\/strong> in a descending channel after failing to maintain its position above <strong>$124,450<\/strong> earlier this month. The pullback has formed a series of lower lows, with the price consolidating around <strong>$110,100<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/08\/BTCUSD_2025-08-27_11-50-59-1024x752.jpg\" alt=\"Bitcoin price chart in 12H timeframe\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Key levels to watch include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The 50-day moving average ($116,553): now acting as resistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The pivot at $112,000: a critical support, reinforcing a former trendline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The support zone at $108,695 &#8211; $110,000: the last line of defense before deeper declines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Downside risks point toward $105,150 and $101,550, if current support gives way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Momentum indicators are cautious. The RSI sits at 38, indicating that Bitcoin is <strong>oversold<\/strong>, but <strong>without a bullish divergence<\/strong> for now. The MACD remains negative, reflecting selling pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"liquidity-at-112000-has-been-taken-whats-next\">Liquidity at $112,000 Has Been Taken, What&#8217;s Next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> liquidated shorts up to <strong>$112,300<\/strong> in the evening. With institutional demand still present, a pullback could prove temporary.
