For example, <strong>MEI Pharma<\/strong> shares nearly doubled before the company announced the purchase of <strong>$100 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/litecoin-ltc\/\">Litecoin<\/a><\/strong>. Similar patterns were observed with <strong>SharpLink, Mill City Ventures, and Kindly MD.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;This looks really suspicious to me,&#8221; notes Xu Jiang, finance professor at Duke University. &#8220;It&#8217;s the kind of behavior we often see in confirmed insider trading cases.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>These atypical price movements raise <strong>concerns<\/strong> about potential <strong>leaks of confidential information<\/strong>, particularly among investors or advisors involved in these operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"addressing-the-regulatory-challenge\">Addressing the Regulatory Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Facing this trend, some companies are trying to limit price distortions by delaying the disclosure of ticker symbols until markets close. Others, like CEA Industries and Verb Technology, have recently adopted this approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s in everyone&#8217;s interest to solve this problem,&#8221; says Louis Camhi, founder of RLH Capital.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <strong>regulatory gray areas<\/strong> remain a significant challenge for authorities and <strong>market participants<\/strong> alike. Unlike traditional corporate events such as mergers, acquisitions, or <strong>quarterly financial results<\/strong>, <strong>cryptocurrency purchases<\/strong> often involve highly volatile digital assets, decentralized platforms, and informal communication channels. This complexity considerably complicates the monitoring of information flows, compliance enforcement, and the ability of regulators to ensure <strong>market integrity<\/strong> and <strong>investor protection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While companies seek to prevent <strong>insider trading<\/strong> related to their <strong>digital asset strategies<\/strong>, authorities face difficulties in applying traditional <strong>financial regulations<\/strong>.
