Midnight is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to bring “rational privacy” to decentralized applications (DApps). Using Zero-Knowledge proof technology, Midnight enables developers to create applications that protect sensitive user and business data without sacrificing blockchain transparency and security.

The NIGHT token is at the heart of this ecosystem, serving as both a utility token for paying transaction fees, a governance token for voting on the network’s future, and potentially as a staking token to secure the network. The project stands out for its close ties with Cardano, operating as a “partner chain” that will bring privacy features to the existing ecosystem.

The NIGHT launch is one of the largest in cryptocurrency history in terms of distribution. Through phases like the “Glacier Drop” and the “Scavenger Mine,” over 4.5 billion NIGHT tokens have been claimed by more than 8 million unique participants, creating a massive community base from day one.

An Unprecedented Launch Scale
