The Cardano ecosystem is navigating a pivotal phase with the launch of Midnight, a sidechain focused on data protection and regulatory compliance. Following the airdrop of the NIGHT token, many ADA holders are questioning: Should they keep the historic asset or bet on the newcomer driven by technological hype?

Speaking on December 21st during the Discover Crypto podcast, Charles Hoskinson provided a clear answer: The question is misguided. This isn’t a competition between two assets, but rather an architecture designed to function in symbiosis.

According to the founder, Midnight isn’t designed to replace Cardano, but to enhance it. As a Partner Chain, Midnight relies on the security and Layer 1 infrastructure of Cardano: selling your ADA to buy NIGHT is like “betting on the fruit while cutting the roots.”
