Currently, ETH is trading in a zone between <strong>$2,100 and $2,000<\/strong>, benefiting from positive correlation with <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> and the recovery of US equity markets (S&amp;P 500).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a> failed to hold above the $2,100 level.<br><br>Now, Ethereum needs to hold the $2,000 level, otherwise the entire pump could be retraced. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4vWE9xujh6\">pic.twitter.com\/4vWE9xujh6<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Ted (@TedPillows) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TedPillows\/status\/2020787253623259335?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This rebound of over 15% from the lows offers a breath of fresh air to investors, but caution remains warranted. The current movement looks more like a technical reaction on a major <strong>support<\/strong> zone rather than a genuine organic trend reversal. To validate a sustainable recovery, buyers will need to defend this level with volume, which is not yet guaranteed at this stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"traders-remain-cautious-what-derivatives-are-saying\">Traders Remain Cautious: What Derivatives Are Saying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the rise in spot price, the derivatives market displays a decidedly <strong>bearish<\/strong> sentiment. Analysis of futures contracts shows that the premium (the spread between future price and spot price) is stagnating around 3%. Normally, a healthy and neutral market evolves with a premium of <strong>5% to 10%<\/strong>. This figure below 5% indicates that institutional traders <strong>hesitate to bet on a sustainable rally<\/strong> and are hedging against the risk of further downside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the fundamentals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/learn\/blockchain\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> network are weighing on investor sentiment. <strong>Inflation<\/strong> of ETH supply has climbed to <strong>0.8%<\/strong> on an annualized basis over the last 30 days, undermining the deflationary &#8220;ultra sound money&#8221; narrative. With slowing on-chain activity and declining transaction fees, the burn mechanism is no longer sufficient to offset new issuance, adding structural selling pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"scenarios-are-1300-levels-inevitable\">Scenarios: Are $1,300 Levels Inevitable?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From a technical perspective, Ethereum finds itself at a crossroads. For the bulls, the immediate objective is to transform the <strong>$2,000<\/strong> zone into solid support to then target the next <strong>resistance<\/strong> around $2,300. A break of this key level would open the door to a deeper <strong>correction<\/strong>, potentially toward <strong>the order block around $1,280<\/strong>.<br><br>This major demand zone and a downside liquidation of a bullish trendline in HTF would offer an ideal scenario for a bullish reversal of ETH. Indeed, this would allow ETH to relieve itself of late longs below the trendline and <strong>attract smart money<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the market attempts to stabilize, the crucial question for the coming days is that of institutional participation.
