This radical decision brings down two other major platforms in its wake: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/solana\/\">Solana<\/a>Floor<\/strong>, the go-to reference for NFT data, and <strong>Remora Markets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today we are announcing that Step Finance, SolanaFloor, and Remora Markets will be winding down all operations.<br><br>Following the hack at the end of January we explored every possible path forward, including financing and acquisition opportunities.<br><br>Unfortunately, we were unable to\u2026<\/p>&mdash; Step\u2600\ufe0f (@StepFinance_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StepFinance_\/status\/2025986934112145849?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 23, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a brief but transparent statement, the team declared they were &#8220;unable to guarantee a viable outcome&#8221; following recent events. Despite weeks of attempts to restructure the protocol and recover funds, the <strong>liquidity<\/strong> necessary to maintain operations was completely drained, making any recovery impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement marks the end of an era for these tools that had become indispensable for many traders looking to track their <strong>P&amp;L<\/strong> and <strong>on-chain<\/strong> positions. However, the scale of the treasury <strong>dump<\/strong> and the technical complexity of the attack overcame the team&#8217;s resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project&#8217;s native token, STEP, immediately reacted to the news with a violent red candle, suffering a massive <strong>correction<\/strong>. Holders who hoped for a turnaround now find themselves with assets whose future utility is close to zero, once again illustrating the risks inherent in decentralized protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"can-sol-resist-this-sudden-fud\">Can SOL Resist This Sudden FUD?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the tragedy for Step Finance, we&#8217;ll need to observe the impact on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/solana\/\">Solana<\/a> (SOL)<\/strong> price itself.
