Ron Baron<\/strong>, billionaire and founder of Baron Capital<\/strong>, is not mincing words: his firm is set to make a fortune from SpaceX<\/strong>. In an interview with CNBC<\/strong>, he laid out an investment thesis as ambitious as it is precise, backed by hard numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a $25 billion position<\/strong> in Elon Musk<\/strong>‘s company, Baron Capital<\/strong> is one of the largest institutional investors in SpaceX<\/strong>. And according to its founder, the best is still very much ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between Starlink<\/strong>, orbital data centers<\/strong>, and space-based AI<\/strong>, Baron’s thesis rests on concrete catalysts that could fundamentally reshape SpaceX<\/strong>‘s valuation over the next decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From $2 Trillion to $14 Trillion: Ron Baron’s Valuation Framework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ron Baron<\/strong> builds his projection around a highly structured ten-year scenario. Currently valued at approximately $2 trillion<\/strong>, SpaceX<\/strong> could reach a market capitalization of $14 trillion<\/strong> \u2014 a 7x multiple \u2014 driven primarily by the Starlink<\/strong> division alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His logic is straightforward: Starlink<\/strong>‘s revenues would grow from their current $13 to $14 billion<\/strong> to roughly $1 trillion<\/strong> within ten years, generating an estimated EBITDA<\/strong> of between $700 and $800 billion<\/strong>. Applied to a valuation multiple consistent with the standards of major technology platforms, that level of EBITDA<\/strong> mechanically justifies a $14 trillion market cap. Baron is clear on one point: Starlink<\/strong> remains today an “immature business,” meaning the projected growth is not built on a peak of maturity but on a still early-stage expansion phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
