Ethereum<\/strong> developers have officially confirmed the inclusion of EIP-8141<\/strong> in the Hegot\u00e1<\/strong> upgrade, currently scheduled for 2027. Behind this proposal number lies a fundamental rethinking of how gas fees<\/strong> are paid on the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vitalik Buterin<\/strong> is among the ten co-authors of this EIP \u2014 a strong signal of just how strategically important this change is for the Ethereum ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frame Transactions: What EIP-8141 Changes in Practice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EIP-8141<\/strong>, named Frame Transactions<\/strong>, introduces a programmable transaction mechanism built around modular contract calls known as “frames.” These frames make it possible to decouple three key stages<\/strong> of a transaction: authorization, fee payment, and execution.
