And Bitcoin may not stop there, as experts predict a rise in Bitcoin dominance to <strong>70%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This meteoric rise is mainly due to the positive repercussions of Donald Trump&#8217;s electoral victory, as well as the ongoing discussions about<strong> Bitcoin reserves<\/strong> held by several countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously, Ethereum&#8217;s dominance is fading: its market share is now only <strong>7%<\/strong>, a <strong>lowest since September 2019<\/strong>. <em>&#8220;Ethereum dominance is on the verge of a new historical low&#8221;<\/em>, commented crypto analyst Rekt Capital on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trend does not seem solely tied to the current situation. For instance, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/ripple-xrp\">XRP<\/a><\/strong> has seen its market weight <strong>double over the same period<\/strong>. Thus, Ethereum&#8217;s leadership erosion appears to be part of a broader reconfiguration in the crypto landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-lost-battle-already\"><strong>A Lost Battle Already ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this setback for <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/ethereums-decline-continues-best-time-invest-eth\/\">Ethereum<\/a>, it is premature to bet on a &#8220;flippening,&#8221; which means a reversal of the hierarchy in favor of Bitcoin. The second cryptocurrency still plays a <strong>central role in the ecosystem<\/strong>, notably due to its smart contract deployment capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the recent market volatility, exacerbated by Trump&#8217;s trade tensions, has led to <strong>profit-taking<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/bitcoin-btc-break-all-time-high-2025\/\">Bitcoin<\/a>, partially erasing its previous gains. This indicates continued investor interest in cryptocurrency, even though its dominance remains subject to significant fluctuations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bitcoin seems on track to establish itself as the reigning cryptocurrency for the long haul. Bitcoin&#8217;s dominance grows year after year unless blockchain technology offers <strong>real usable products<\/strong> for the masses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bitcoin, in essence, already has its fully developed product: a robust blockchain to provide an <strong>ideal safe haven<\/strong> in times of crisis and economic downturns.
