With MiCA set to come into force in early 2025, this explosive decision could shake up the European market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, during the <strong>Token2049<\/strong> summit in Dubai, Paolo Ardoino dropped a bombshell: Tether will not seek MiCA approval to maintain USDT in Europe. With a market capitalization of <strong>$150 billion<\/strong>, USDT dominates stablecoins and fuels liquidity on global <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/exchange\/best-cryptocurrency-exchange\/\">exchanges<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This refusal, unlike the compliance adopted by <strong>Circle<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/circle-usdc-stablecoin-issuer-stock-market-debut\/\">USDC<\/a>, EURC), risks cutting off USDT from the European market.
