{"id":5605,"date":"2025-05-05T17:23:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-05T16:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/?p=5605"},"modified":"2025-05-05T17:08:57","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T16:08:57","slug":"crypto-etf-launch-may-5-buy-litecoin-ltc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/crypto-etf-launch-may-5-buy-litecoin-ltc\/","title":{"rendered":"New Crypto ETF on May 5th : Should You Buy Litecoin (LTC) Now ?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sec-sets-sights-on-litecoin-ltc-etf\">SEC Sets Sights on Litecoin (LTC) ETF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts believe that the <strong>SEC<\/strong> could approve &#8220;spot&#8221; ETFs backed by <strong>altcoins<\/strong> such as <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/solana\/\">Solana<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/ripple-xrp\">XRP<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/dogecoin\">Dogecoin<\/a> in the coming weeks, with decisions as early as <strong>July 2, 2025<\/strong>. ETFs for SOL, DOGE, XRP, and ADA are expected in October, followed by further announcements in November and December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEC is expected to rule on the <strong>Litecoin ETF<\/strong> from Canary Funds by May 5. Unlike other crypto ETF applications, this one has not been delayed yet. James Seyffart, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg, believes that <strong>Litecoin <\/strong>has a higher chance of quick approval than other assets, although a delay is still possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CanaryFunds?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CanaryFunds<\/a> Litecoin ETF filing is due for a decision (possibly a delay) by Monday 5\/5. SEC went early &amp; delayed a bunch of filings but not this. If any asset has a chance of early approval it&#39;s Litecoin IMO. Personally think a delay is more likely but def something to watch <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FilnUcMtUH\">pic.twitter.com\/FilnUcMtUH<\/a><\/p>&mdash; James Seyffart (@JSeyff) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JSeyff\/status\/1919159854691713334?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 4, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts have pointed out that the approval of the Litecoin ETF could be the easiest, as its <strong>S-1<\/strong> and <strong>19b-4<\/strong> forms have already been filed and accepted. Moreover, the SEC likely views Litecoin as a <strong>commodity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/litecoin-etf-sec-approval-ltc-price-surge\/\">Litecoin ETFs<\/a> are currently under review, proposed by <strong>Grayscale<\/strong> and <strong>CoinShares<\/strong>. The SEC has until October to rule on these filings. According to Bloomberg experts, Litecoin has the highest approval probability, estimated at <strong>90%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"altcoins-opportunity-window\">Altcoins&#8217; Opportunity Window<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bloomberg analysts estimate a <strong>75%<\/strong> or higher chance of the SEC approving multiple <strong>spot ETFs backed by altcoins<\/strong> by the end of 2025. Seyffart had previously stated that new crypto ETFs would likely be introduced, with issuers testing what works. However, those that do not attract enough interest or investment will be dissolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the arrival of the new SEC chairman, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/crypto-advocate-paul-atkins-officially-appointed-new-sec-chairman\/\">Paul Atkins<\/a><\/strong>, the landscape appears to have shifted. He mentioned that the crypto industry had been &#8220;stifled&#8221; and that the regulatory framework &#8220;urgently needed attention.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/\">crypto space<\/a> is closely monitoring the SEC&#8217;s anticipated decision on the Litecoin ETF, which could usher in <strong>a new era of investment<\/strong> in altcoins.
