XRP ETF: The Long-Awaited Catalyst
The XRP price recently hit its highest level in nearly two weeks, driven by speculation surrounding the imminent approval of an ETF in the United States. Bloomberg analysts estimate the chances of success at 95%, with an SEC decision expected by October.

This prospect has fueled renewed institutional interest in XRP derivatives. As evidenced by the 5% increase in demand for futures contracts over the past month. However, the futures market remains largely balanced overall, with only a 7% premium compared to the spot price.
Market Hesitates Despite Euphoria
Although XRP is flirting with the $3 threshold, its performance remains disappointing compared to the overall rise in the altcoin market (+14% since August). This underperformance is explained by the low adoption of the XRPL network, which represents only 2% of tokenized assets worldwide, far behind blockchains like Avalanche or Stellar.

Moreover, Ripple’s recent launch of the RLUSD stablecoin, while notable, has not led to a real surge in activity on XRPL. In fact, 90% of the supply is issued on the Ethereum network.
A Speculative Dynamic Worth Watching
While XRP could potentially reach $3.60 if an ETF is approved, the persistent weakness of its ecosystem might limit the sustainability of such a bullish movement. Investors should remain vigilant about the evolution of adoption indicators and tokenization on XRPL to gauge the cryptocurrency’s real potential.

Nevertheless, recent regulatory advances and growing institutional interest are paving the way for new opportunities for XRP. Its strategic positioning in cross-border payments makes it a value worth watching closely in the coming months.
