Solana's ecosystem is buzzing with excitement following Jupiter Exchange's acquisition of RainFi, a leading fixed-term lending platform. After more than two years of innovation in the lending sector on Solana, RainFi is embarking on a new chapter by joining one of the ecosystem’s largest aggregators. This strategic acquisition by Jupiter aims to integrate RainFi’s fixed-term lending and borrowing functionalities into its DeFi product suite.
For users, this promises deeper integration and a smooth transition to a unified platform, scheduled for early 2026. RainFi will continue to operate normally until then, with the exception of stJUP deposits, which have been paused.
To reward its loyal community, RainFi has announced a airdrop of $JUP tokens for eligible users. Eligibility and allocation amounts are determined by “Droplets,” a points system that reflects past activity on the platform.
The crucial point to note is that the snapshot (data capture) of Droplet balances already took place on December 10, 2025. Consequently, any activity on the platform after this date will not be counted toward this airdrop. Only users who interacted with RainFi before this date are potential beneficiaries.
Since the snapshot has passed, it is no longer possible to farm this airdrop. For those who were already active users, patience is now required. An allocation checker tool will be launched in the coming weeks, allowing everyone to verify their eligibility and the amount of $JUP tokens they will receive.
The actual distribution of the airdrop is scheduled for early 2026. In a notable show of good faith, the team at Block, RainFi’s partner, announced that it will redistribute 100% of its own allocation to users affected by a previous liquidation incident, reinforcing confidence in the project.
The $JUP airdrop for RainFi users is excellent news that rewards loyalty and early engagement in an innovative protocol. Although it’s too late to participate, this event underscores the importance of actively exploring and supporting promising DeFi projects.
