21Shares Opens the Door with the First SUI ETF
The Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the TXXS, the first 2x leveraged ETF on the SUI token, launched by 21Shares US and now trading on Nasdaq. This product offers amplified daily exposure to SUI price movements via derivative instruments. A characteristic that makes it primarily suited for experienced traders employing short-term strategies.
On the first day of listing, over 4,700 shares were traded, closing at $24.57. This initial volume demonstrates genuine appetite for this type of amplified exposure, despite the risks inherent to leveraged products. Most importantly, the SEC’s approval represents a strong signal that US regulators recognize the growing maturity of the Sui ecosystem and are willing to expand the range of financial products associated with it.
This regulatory validation arrives at a strategic moment. Sui has just been integrated into a Vanguard index, strengthening its visibility among traditional institutional investors. The arrival of TXXS complements this momentum by offering active traders a tool to capitalize on the token’s daily volatility.
Over the past 24 hours, SUI has nevertheless dropped 1.59% to settle at $1.54, while trading volume declined by 37% to $871 million. This temporary contraction hasn’t dampened institutional enthusiasm, as evidenced by Grayscale’s parallel move.
Grayscale Files an S-1 Registration
Just days after the launch of TXXS, Grayscale filed an S-1 registration with the SEC to create the Grayscale Sui Trust. This fund will offer simple and direct exposure to SUI’s price, without leverage or derivatives, allowing investors to access it without managing wallets or private keys themselves. This initiative fits into Grayscale’s expansion strategy, already highly active across other major crypto assets.
On the fundamentals side, the Sui ecosystem displays increasingly solid momentum. Its DeFi universe is progressing rapidly, with rising liquidity on DEXs, lending platforms, and derivatives protocols. The TVL (Total Value Locked) continues to increase steadily, confirming real and growing economic activity on the blockchain.
Sui is also advancing in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), with a notable portion of assets now backed by BTC, proving a diversification of use cases beyond mere speculation. Despite the temporary decline in trading volume and recent correction, analysts point to healthy technical consolidation in a still favorable macro context, capable of triggering a new price discovery phase for the token.
