The brutal price surge is not the result of chance, but the direct consequence of a precision mechanism orchestrated by the protocol’s governance. The vote validated on March 2nd activated two fundamental levers for the token’s value: a reduction in staking emissions and an acceleration of the buyback program.
Concretely, the protocol used its stablecoin reserves USDS to massively buy back SKY on the open market. On-chain data confirms that nearly 1.83 billion SKY tokens have been absorbed by the treasury. This mechanism acts as artificial but powerful buying pressure, mechanically reducing the available circulating supply against constant or growing demand.
In parallel, the expansion of credit infrastructure around the USDS stablecoin strengthens the project’s fundamentals. Investors interpret these changes as a strong bullish signal, validating the “Deflationary Tokenomics” strategy adopted by the team.

From a chart perspective, the 10% impulse allowed SKY to break out of a consolidation zone that had compressed the price for several weeks. Trading volume surged, confirming interest from institutional buyers and “whales” who anticipated the vote’s impact.

The price is currently testing a key resistance zone. If the bulls manage to transform this $0.784 level into support within the next 48 hours, the path would be clear to target the next local highs. Momentum indicators, like the RSI, show dominant buying strength without being in extreme overbought territory yet, leaving room for a bullish continuation.
However, traders must watch for the risk of “sell the news.” An inability to maintain price above the breakout level could trigger a retracement toward lower supports, where late buyers might look to reload their positions.
Does this movement validate a long-term trend reversal? The combination of scarce supply and increased utility of the USDS stablecoin creates an explosive cocktail for SKY’s price. If the protocol maintains this buyback pace, the deflationary pressure could support the price well beyond the immediate announcement effect.
The daily chart however indicates a bearish divergence in daily CVD. In other words, outgoing capital has been dominating for several days. Therefore, caution is warranted.
On the other hand, SKY continues to perform and display substantial revenues. Each dip could be an opportunity to accumulate for the long term.
Eyes are now focused on the weekly close. A confirmation above current levels would send a strong signal to the rest of the altcoin market. As liquidity seems to be returning to projects with strong fundamental value, Sky positions itself as a serious candidate to outperform in the coming weeks.
