DeFi propels Solana to new heights
HumidiFi has become the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on Solana, highlighting the network’s growing dominance in decentralized finance. Additionally, the integration of Bitlayer’s YBTC into Solana’s DeFi ecosystem via Kamino Finance and Orca has enabled the merging of Bitcoin-based assets. They leveraged the speed and efficiency of the Solana blockchain.

1inch has launched trustless Solana-to-EVM exchanges, eliminating the need for bridges and simplifying cross-chain token transfers. This advancement strengthens Solana’s position as a central liquidity hub across multiple blockchain networks.
Coinbase has introduced regulated perpetual futures on Solana in the United States, offering up to 10x leverage. This paves the way for greater institutional and retail exposure to SOL price movements.
SOL memecoins: Unexpected growth catalysts
The expansion of the memecoin Wall Street Pepe (WEPE) on Solana brings NFT integrations and user engagement, stimulating on-chain activity. Long-term technical indicators don’t show strong bullish signals, suggesting possible consolidation. However, Solana’s on-chain activity appears to support its upside potential.
Transaction volume has increased by over 32%, exceeding 590 million. Meanwhile, the number of active addresses has climbed by more than 24 million, representing a 5.3% increase. Network demand is also reflected in fees, which have surged 44% to reach $7.68 million, indicating strong utility and growing participation.
Risks of an imminent reversal
The recent crypto market consolidation has seen Solana holding steady around $180. Continued consolidation could push SOL’s price above $200. However, the bearish divergence on the weekly RSI indicator raises concerns about a potential pullback toward $150.
Solana appears positioned for a bullish move toward $250, provided it maintains its current momentum and consolidates above key support levels. However, mixed technical indicators call for caution in the short term.
The key will be to closely monitor SOL’s price evolution in the coming weeks, particularly in relation to SEC decisions on Solana ETFs. A positive announcement could act as a powerful bullish catalyst.
