Evernorth: The $1 Billion XRP MicroStrategy
The crypto market has just received a strong signal with the arrival of a major new institutional player. Evernorth Holdings, closely tied to Ripple, has filed an S-4 form with the SEC to finalize its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. This operation aims for a Nasdaq listing under the ticker XRPN, with a clear ambition: to structure massive exposure to XRP.
With over one billion dollars committed by players like SBI Holdings, Pantera Capital and Kraken, Evernorth positions itself as a true institutional catalyst. The objective is simple yet powerful: accumulate XRP at scale and transform this exposure into a financial product accessible to traditional investors.
The company already holds a considerable advantage with 388 million tokens XRP in reserve, acquired at an average price of $2.44. This strategy directly mirrors MicroStrategy’s approach with Bitcoin, creating a bridge between traditional financial markets and digital assets through a publicly traded stock.
DeFi, RLUSD and Active Strategy: Evernorth Changes the Game
Unlike a simple passive ETF, Evernorth adopts an aggressive strategy based on DeFi. The company plans to use its XRP reserves to generate yield through liquidity pools, institutional lending and validator operations on the XRP Ledger.
The RLUSD stablecoin will play a key role in this approach, serving as a gateway to on-chain yield opportunities. This strategy not only optimizes performance but also increases the amount of XRP held per share, creating internal growth dynamics.
This comes in a favorable regulatory context, marked by the SEC and CFTC’s recognition of XRP as a commodity. This clarification significantly reduces legal uncertainties and paves the way for broader institutional adoption, strengthening the credibility of the Evernorth project.
