Arkham Intelligence Reveals US Government Holds $24 Billion in Bitcoin
Blockchain firm Arkham Intelligence has made a stunning revelation : the US government currently holds nearly 198,000 Bitcoin, valued at 24 billion dollars. This announcement puts an end to persistent rumors about a massive sell-off of the government’s crypto assets.

The figures revealed by Arkham place the United States well above other governments in terms of Bitcoin holdings. With approximately 198,000 BTC, American reserves far surpass those of the United Kingdom (7 billion dollars) and Bhutan (1.3 billion dollars).
This possession symbolically represents 0.065% of the US national debt, which exceeds 37 trillion dollars. Although negligible for bridging this abyssal gap, this share highlights a form of institutional recognition of Bitcoin as a digital asset held by the state.
Concerns Dispelled, New Questions About Bitcoin’s Future
Recent rumors of a massive sale of government Bitcoin reserves had sparked serious concerns within the crypto community. Fortunately, Arkham’s revelation dispels these fears. Nevertheless, the question remains whether such sales might take place in the future, either to reduce debt or fund other initiatives.
