Is it worth buying Kanye West’s YZY token after a 95% crash?

YZY: From $3 Billion to Collapse in Just Hours

The launch of YZY will go down in history as one of the most spectacular and controversial in crypto history. In just 40 minutes, the token reached a market cap of $3 billion, propelling it into the global top 35 before crashing by 95% within the same day.

This meteoric rise can be explained by the celebrity effect of Kanye West and the excitement surrounding meme coins on Solana. The “Yeezy Money” project promised a complete ecosystem with Ye Pay (payment system) and YZY Card (debit card), creating intense FOMO among investors.

Revelations of insider trading quickly tarnished the euphoria surrounding the token. 13 wallets extracted $24.5 million, leaving retail investors to suffer significant losses. Additionally, the class action waiver included in the project’s terms raises serious concerns, signaling a major legal risk for investors.

Technical Correction or Persistent Trap?

YZY is currently trading at $0.729, down 30% from its recent highs, with a market cap of $730 million. Technical analysis shows a relatively flat short-term EMA and a strong divergence with the EMA120 at $1.0464, confirming the ongoing correction. The declining RSI (59.87 → 42.03) indicates weakening momentum, but the daily volume of 22.13 million USDT and 30,084 holders demonstrate persistent interest, offering potential for a technical rebound if conditions improve.

Smart money activity presents a mixed picture: recent purchases of $4,048, $4,074, and $4,364, but also a sale of $3,817, showing indecision even among seasoned investors. The decrease in holders from 35,181 to 27,821 illustrates a partial capital flight, but the community base remains significant enough to support the project. The 32 smart holders and 21 KOL holders confirm a limited but active institutional presence.

The major risk remains the lack of official validation from Kanye West, leaving the project in a zone of uncertainty. Key technical levels are at support $0.6922, resistance $0.7442, with a Fibonacci 61.8% at $0.7738 to watch for confirming a potential rebound. This situation makes investing in YZY highly speculative, requiring caution and limited allocation.
