While many skeptics predict the price of BTC to crash to zero, Michael Saylor, the founder of MicroStrategy, claims otherwise. In a recent interview, he outlined reasons why Bitcoin could reach $1 million in the near future.
Saylor points to a shift in regulatory trends and the massive influx of institutional buyers as price catalysts. According to him, the days of “crypto-winter” are over, and the market is now in a continual upward trend.
“If Bitcoin hits $500,000 or $1 million, then we might refer to a $200,000 crash per token,” he stated. Saylor is confident that BTC is on the path to a million dollars and speculations of a crash to zero are unfounded.
The strategist highlights that financial institutions are beginning to offer BTC custody services to their clients, enhancing confidence in cryptocurrency. Moreover, with increasing support from governments and businesses, Bitcoin appears poised to thrive.
Saylor also noted that only 450 BTC are available for daily sale from “natural sellers,” roughly $50 million. He suggests that prices are set to rise if all these 450 BTC are bought daily.
The MicroStrategy founder also affirms that the U.S. regulatory landscape is evolving with pro-crypto support from the SEC and CFTC, along with increasing White House enthusiasm for BTC. Furthermore, btc ETFs are gaining popularity, absorbing a significant portion of the available supply.
In summary, Michael Saylor is convinced that Bitcoin is on track for a million dollars, thanks to a range of positive factors, including institutional adoption and regulatory support. He believes the market is no longer destined for prolonged downturns and sell-offs. Clearly, the most significant risk will come from regulation.
