Anthropic’s artificial intelligence model Claude has just issued a bold price prediction for Chainlink (LINK). In a full bull market scenario playing out by the end of 2026, the model targets $35 by January 1, 2027 — representing a potential upside of nearly 300% from current levels around $12.
That target may sound ambitious, but the technical data and LINK‘s historical track record make it far from impossible. Here’s why this prediction deserves serious analysis.
What Claude AI Is Really Predicting for Chainlink
Anthropic’s Claude isn’t pulling this figure out of thin air. The model positions $35 as a coherent level — above the 2024 peak, but still well below the all-time high of $52.70 reached in May 2021. In other words, this isn’t an extreme price discovery scenario. It’s a return to a zone already visited during the previous bull cycle.
The AI draws on LINK‘s well-established cyclical behavior. Between early 2020 and May 2021, the token surged from $1.77 to $52.70 — a nearly 30x move. After the market collapsed, LINK closed 2022 at around $5.57. This kind of extreme volatility in both directions is a structural characteristic of the asset, not an anomaly.
The central condition set by Claude remains a return to a genuine altcoin bull market. Without that macro catalyst, the $35 target loses credibility. That’s the inherent limitation of any prediction built on conditional scenarios.
The Technical Analysis Supporting (and Nuancing) This Scenario

On the technical side, 2026 has been a year of contrasts for LINK. The token initially dropped from $14.40 at the start of the year to around $7.00 in June — a classic capitulation. Since then, it has bounced back into the $11–$13 range, posting notable monthly gains: +13.5% in July and +38.2% in August, with the latter month pushing LINK from $8.19 to a peak above $12.50.
A major technical signal materialized at the end of August: a golden cross, with the 50-day moving average (~$9.60) crossing above the 200-day moving average (~$9.00). Historically, this signal has often preceded strong bullish acceleration phases in high-beta altcoins like LINK.
The technical roadmap identified is as follows:
- First key resistance: the $12.50–$14.40 zone to break and consolidate above
- Intermediate targets: $17.50 then $20
- Major resistance zone: $27–$31 (former 2024–2025 highs)
- Final target per Claude: $35
A move above the $17–$18 zone would represent a structural inflection point, as this area incorporates significant swing levels from the 2025–2026 cycles. A clean breakout above $27–$31 would signal entry into relative price discovery for the current cycle — and would make the $35 scenario technically defensible.
AI Prediction or Grounded Analysis? What You Need to Take Away
Asking an AI like Claude to predict prices raises a legitimate question: how much weight should these projections actually carry? Claude does not have access to real-time data feeds, cannot read order flow, and cannot anticipate unexpected macro events. Its prediction is built on historical patterns and market assumptions — which makes it a scenario analysis tool, not an oracle.
What lends credibility to this scenario is less the prediction itself and more the convergence between the AI’s analysis and current technical signals: a confirmed golden cross, positive monthly momentum, and a price structure recovering from capitulation. LINK is displaying technical characteristics consistent with an advanced accumulation phase.
That said, the determining variable remains the broader macro environment. If the crypto market enters a genuine altcoin cycle before the end of 2026, LINK has historically demonstrated the beta needed to deliver significant multiples. If not, the $12–$14 range could prove to be a lasting ceiling for the asset.
