However, since February 27th, the altcoin has been experiencing a gradual decline in its momentum. Between February 27th and April 4th, the price dropped by 81.58%. From April 5th, the market has been fluctuating between $0.4040 and $0.7894. Currently, PI is trading at $0.6174.
Potential Impact on PI Network
Token unlockings can have a significant influence on market sentiment and price movements, especially for new and volatile assets like PI. With 2.8 million tokens entering circulation today, short-term downward pressure is possible due to the increased supply.
While some investors may perceive unlockings as a dilution risk, others may see it as a sign of transparency and maturity of the project. Therefore, with over 1.5 billion tokens set to be unlocked in the coming year, market participants should closely monitor the impact of these events on liquidity, investor behavior, and price stability.
